and 4. I use 1 kilogram of mixed dried fruit (1000grams). I would assume it would be about 4 - 4.5 metric cups of fruit. Please let me know how you go.

Apologies for the delay. 1. Yes it still tastes sweet because of the amount of sweet fruit inside!. 2. You can use any dry fruits ie dates, sultanas, currents, cherries etc and you can mix it up with a little chopped fresh orange etc. 3. Oil should be fine but advantage of baking paper is it insulates between the batter and the tin/glass.

Hi there, thank you for your comment. Yes you can use plain four and baking powder. I think ratio is 1 teaspoon of baking powder to 1 cup plain flour. Maybe google the ratio. Thanks and let me know how you go! Hec.

Hello, yeah I was surprised myself how good it was when I made it. It really does save you creaming butter and sugar and adding eggs etc etc. Please let me know how your cake goes. Thanks for your comment.
